Oh, What a night it was - Lord's Taverners Victoria "Legends Night"

Another Lord's Taverners Legends night has come and gone - the 10th since the inception of this wonderful event - attended by 100 members and guests at Royal South Yarra Tennis Club. Congratulations to Greg Brown OAM

It is with great pleasure that we congratulate Greg Brown, on receiving a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in the recent Queen's Birthday Honours. Greg has been a member of the Lord's Taverner's since 1985, he has been the National Chair of the Lord’s Taverners Australia since 2008 and was the Victorian Chair between 2005 and 2007.

Greg was awarded his OAM for service to the community through support and fundraising roles for a range of charitable organisations.

VALE Sheila Scotter 1920-2012

Sheila Scotter AM MBE, alias Lord's Taverners number 79, died on Good Friday, aged 91.

In his enthralling eulogy, Alan Jones described her death as marking the end of the Australian fashion industry's most historic era.

VALE - Sam Loxton

It is with much sadness that we farewell one of our Legends of Victorian Cricket in Sam Loxton who passed away in Queensland at the age of 90.  Much has been written about Sam Loxton and this article from Jim Morton at The Sydney Morning Herald says much about Sam Loxton, the man, and the enormous contribution to Australian Cricket.
